As many of you are aware, one of my main interests is Macro and Close-up Photography. I’ve tried various different ways to achieve close-up images without the need to invest in the obviously superior Macro lenses. I’ve tried extension tubes, a bellows system and using a reversed lens.
This week I’ve re-visited my good friend eBay, and invested in a Sigma 70-300mm EX APO DG Macro (1:2) lens, a Tamron 28-200mm zoom and a set of 4 close-up filters plus step-up ring.
Over the next week I’ll try out the various options these give me and post some of the results along with my findings.
